The Friends of Lake Louisa State Park presents Ted Miksa of Miksa Honey Farms Friday, September 26th at 7:00pm in the park’s administration building.  Miksa Honey Farms is a family run business that has been in the Groveland area for 58 years.  Ted will be speaking on the evolution of the business, how they provide queen bees of a variety of stock lines to beekeepers around the U.S., as well as the process they undergo to breed the queen bees.  This is a free presentation but space is limited.  Please RSVP to 352-394-3969.

TIME: Registration begins at 7:30am

LOCATION: Lake Louisa State Park ‐ 7305 U.S. Hwy 27, Clermont, Fl. 34714

Due to insurance restrictions the course is limited to registered riders only.  Gates open at 7:00am. All participants must be checked in by 10:ooam. First rider goes out at 8:30am

Starting July 12th 2014

Cruiser bikes are now for rent at the ranger station. These bikes are retro styled and simple to use and some even have a basket for carrying your belongings. We offer several sizes to accommodate your needs. We promise you’ll get a great workout while seeing the park at a more leisurely pace. Rentals are $8.00 an hour for one bike and $5.00 per hour if you rent two or more. Please note that children under 16 must wear a helmet. Helmets are provided.
