The Friends of Lake Louisa State Park presents Ted Miksa of Miksa Honey Farms Friday, September 26th at 7:00pm in the park’s administration building. Miksa Honey Farms is a family run business that has been in the Groveland area for 58 years. Ted will be speaking on the evolution of the business, how they provide queen bees of a variety of stock lines to beekeepers around the U.S., as well as the process they undergo to breed the queen bees. Cruiser bikes are now for rent at the ranger station. These bikes are retro styled and simple to use and some even have a basket for carrying your belongings. We offer several sizes to accommodate your needs. We promise you’ll get a great workout while seeing the park at a more leisurely pace. Rentals are $8.00 an hour for one bike and $5.00 per hour if you rent two or more. Please note that children under 16 must wear a helmet. Helmets are provided.
